Our Work

Every continent has had its fair share of wars, conflicts, and natural disasters that have led to many untold hardships to the affected communities.

Feeding

As many as 811 million people go to bed hungry each night, which is about 9.9% of the world population. From 2019 to 2020, the number of undernourished grew to 161 million due to significant conflicts, climate change, and the COVID-19 Pandemic. Such people are primarily disadvantaged and susceptible to illnesses.

Housing

The availability of proper housing is still a significant issue in the 21 century. An estimated 1.6 billion people lack adequate housing, and another 100 million people have no accommodation at all. These 100 million live survive in refugee camps, live on the streets and in temporary dwellings and other transitory and often dangerous conditions. It is suggested that the numbers are even higher than the data points, and the figure is projected to reach 3 billion by 2050.

Health Initiative

Half of the world’s population, a whopping 3.5 billion people, lack access to essential health services. Another 100 million people are still pushed into extreme poverty because of health expenses, forced to choose between food or health. Studies have shown there is a strong correlation between health and productivity.

Juvenile

The population of young people worldwide is about 7.2 billion, with 90% percent living in developing countries. Around 1.2 billion of these young people are adolescents aged between 10 and 19 years. Most of these young people engage in crimes and vandalism to fend for themselves.

Abused Women and Children

Women and children bear the brunt of socio-economic hardship in any country. Globally, one in three women are subject to either physical or sexual violence or non-partner sexual violence in their lifetime. 27% of women aged 15-49 years who have been in a relationship report to have been sexually or physically abused by their partner. One billion children aged 2-17 years have experienced emotional, sexual, or physical violence or neglect in the last year. In 2014, 28% of trafficked victims were children.

Battered Women Program

Globally, approximately 736 million women—almost one in three—have been constantly exposed to intimate partner violence, non-partner sexual violence, or both at least once in their life (30% of women aged 15 and older). This number excludes sexual harassment. Women who have experienced violence end up exhibiting higher rates of depressive symptoms, anxiety disorders, unwanted pregnancies, sexually transmitted infections, than women who have not, as well as many other health problems that can persist even after the violence has stopped.
